I’m Dóra Vadász, a graphic designer, art director and founder of Books and Films Studio, established in 2021.

I have been working in graphic design for nearly two decades, with a particular focus on print and editorial design. A defining moment in my career came in 2014, when I was invited to develop the visual identity for the Tianjin tournament, a new Chinese stop on the WTA Tour. Working on site in Tianjin, I coordinated the design and production of the tournament’s communication materials while also creating much of the work myself. The experience confirmed what has remained at the heart of my practice ever since: a deep affinity for print.

Today, my work is primarily centred around books. As an art director, I oversee projects from concept to production, working across book design, layout, illustration, technical editing and print management.

Over the years, I have built a network of remarkable creative professionals whose expertise allows me to assemble the right team for each project. Rather than approaching every commission in the same way, I believe in finding the people, perspectives and skills that best serve the subject at hand.

For me, good collaboration is also about efficiency. In a world of perpetually tight deadlines, the strongest results come when everyone is able to focus on what they do best.
